A NORMAL LIFE?
|
6/97
After the surgery we were elated after our first visit with Dr.
Garabedian. Zach's pulmonary pressures were normal! All the trials
of the surgery and hospitalization were suddenly all worth it.
We traveled to Kalispell on a softball trip, we took in a Mariners game with my dad and brother and
later in the fall a SeaHawks
game with my cousin Paul and his wife Andera (Zach's
god parents). We took Zach to Yakima several times to visit
his grandparents and family
on Gina's side. Eventually Zach was doing so well we put
him in day care two days a week so Gina could go back to work.
There were little bumps in the road for instance at one point
we changed day cares so that Zach could stay longer in the infant
room before moving to the toddler room but for the most part
for that wonderful year we nearly forgot there was any problem
at all. For all intensive purposes we were a normal family.
